Poster indicating initial ideas for this studio - early research starting at looking at how the trace of the moving body has been recorded (in history, present day, future movements), translations of this data into digital software and what can be interpreted, explorations in parametric modeling, translations into built or unbuilt architectures.
This blog is the journal backdrop for this sessions research into parametric modeling in architecture- its history, its usage, who is using it, what are the technologies, how is it fabricated. The sessions research will include my own experiments with the learning and using software, processing through to fabrication and other explorations in using digital technologies for source material in the design process. Conceptually I will be exploring dance notation, the movement of the body in space, the body as a space itself and how it interchanges with the architectural space.
